What’s the best way to clean these?

The magnetic cases can be cleaned with soap and water. It is safe to use alcohol but do not soak/submerge them in liquid. You can also use Mineral Oil. It thoroughly removes makeup while maintaining the finish of the material. A few drops of oil (a little goes a very long way) on a microfiber towel will clean them effortlessly.

What kind of magnets do you use?

We use Neodymium magnets which are the strongest commercially available magnets. In fact, they can lift thousands of times their own weight.
