About Pact

Pact is a nonprofit collective dedicated to reducing beauty packaging waste and driving circular solutions in the industry. By collecting hard-to-recycle beauty empties,like small plastic pumps, caps, and squeezable tubes, we help divert waste from landfills and give these materials a second life.

How It Works

• Clean & Empty
  Prepare your beauty packaging by cleaning and emptying it.
• Review Guidelines
  Pact accepts moltn palettes. If you have other items, check out Pact’s Collection Guidelines to ensure they qualify.
• Option 1:  Drop-off: 
  Drop off your items at a nearby Sephora or Ulta in-store Pact bin or Pact's other 3,300 drop off locations (package-free!) 
• Option 2: Package & Ship
  Package 5-10 cleaned items in a box (max 6"x6"x3") or envelope (8"x12"). Then request a pre-paid shipping label to send your package to Pact.

Why It Matters

The beauty industry has a waste problem, with many gaps that prevent beauty packaging from being properly processed and recycled. For example, black plastics frequently go to landfills because black plastic can be difficult to identify during automated recycling processes. So while you may put it in a recycling bin, it ends up in a landfill instead. By joining the Pact program, you're not just processing empties, you're contributing to a circular economy that helps reduce landfill waste and inspires industry-wide change.
